The leading international exhibition and conference for power electronics and its applications once again closes with an excellent result in its 41st year.

PCIM Europe 2019

From 7 – 9 May 2019, 515 exhibitors – 54% from abroad – presented the latest trends, developments and product innovations for all applications of power electronics on an exhibition area of 25,000 square meters.

The participating companies were extremely pleased with the event. “PCIM Europe 2019 was not only a successful fair, it even exceeded our expectations”, summarizes Toshimitsu Suzuki, President at ROHM Semiconductor Europe. “We have already seen an increasing interest in our power devices in the past years, but this time the amount of visitors and the number of meetings were much higher than our forecast. What a great show with new product announcements, motivated staff and many interested customers – existing and potential. I’m already looking forward to the PCIM 2020.”

Philippe Roussel, VP Global Strategic Marketing Power Electronics at Mersen agrees: “PCIM provides an excellent opportunity to meet with new companies and business partners. It is an excellent event to present our latest research and development in the field of Power Electronics and to retain an overview and contact in this industry.”

More than 12,000 trade visitors, on the other hand, praised the high level of specialization and the international vibe of the event.

Conference up-to-date on every level

With regard to the application-oriented conference, 804 international delegates appreciated the top-notch program comprising 300 initial publications on current research and development topics, where up to 5 lectures took place in parallel. One of this year’s most popular innovations was the opportunity to ask the speakers topical questions in real-time with a web-based tool. This enabled smooth and anonymous communication, well appreciated by participants.

“An excellent conference on a professional as well as on a personal level”, enthused Roland Unruh from the Institute of Power Electronics and Electrical Devices at Paderborn University. “My very own highlight was the opportunity to have an intensive one-to-one conversation with the keynote speaker Ki-Bum Park. You don’t get chances like this very often.”
